Clanhub Rules

General Rules

1.) Players

All participants in matches must be registered as part of the clan they are playing for, and they must have entered a valid unique ID (Steam or Punkbuster depending on the game being played) 48 hours prior to the match taking place. This can be checked via the clan's rosters page where clan members unable to play will either be listed as "pending", or not listed at all. IDs should be confirmed in game, for example Steam IDs should be checked through the in-game console using the "status" command before the match starts.

2.) Screenshots / Demos

As proof of a match result, a screenshot of the scoreboard at the end of the game should be taken by both clans. Also, Source TV or an equivalent (where applicable) should be enabled to record a demo of the entire match. If there is no such server-level demo recording feature for a particular game, individual demos should be recorded if possible. Demos must be kept available for a minimum of 1 week after the match has taken place. Screenshots should be uploaded to the fixture's information section if possible.

3.) Hacks / Cheats / Exploits

Of course, hacks, cheats and exploits ruin the game and are strictly prohibited in all matches. The use of any of these is enough to get players and/or entire clans banned from the site.

4.) Multi-Clanning

No user is allowed to play for multiple clans for the same game. The Clanhub system prevents this from happening, so it is up to participant clans to be wary of any opposing players who are not registered for the opposing clan. Users can play for multiple clans if it is for different games. A user may also be a member of a clan without being registered to play any game (i.e. they may be inactive or only involved with administration).

5.) Challenging

Challenges should be made as far in advance as possible. You can make short-notice challenges, but don't count on them being accepted. There is no penalty for declining challenges, as it will be apparent via the ladder standings whether a clan plays a lot or not. When making a challenge you can enter a server IP and password, however these can be left blank if they are not decided yet. Use the fixture comments page to post up the server IP when it is decided upon. If no server is specified by 1 hour before the match, the match can be voided.

Please be aware that you cannot challenge clans which do not have enough players in their roster to play, nor can you challenge clans which share one or more leaders.

6.) Modifying Fixtures

Fixtures can only be modified by discussing and agreeing on changes with the opposing clan. Any amendments to the map, server, or any additional notes should be made using the comments for the fixture. If the time or date needs to be changed please cancel the fixture and re-challenge if it is a ladder match or PCW. Knockout cup matches can be rescheduled via discussion with the opposing clan leader(s), but these fixtures must be played within 5 days of the scheduled date.

7.) Cancelling Matches

Ladder matches can be cancelled until the day on which they are scheduled to take place. After this time, the fixture is locked. If a clan wants to pull out of the match they can request the other clan to void the match, however the opposing clan has the right to claim a default win. Cup matches cannot be cancelled or voided.

8.) Minimum Players for Match

If a clan cannot field the required number of players for the match then the minimum number of players is 2 less than the required number. So for a 6v6 match, both clans can field a minimum of 4 players. Challenges cannot be made if a clan has less than the required team size however.

9.) Spectators

Spectators are generally not allowed, however they can be allowed if both clans agree to their presence.

10.) Substitutions

Substitutions are allowed if the substitute is a registered and active member of the clan for which they are going to play. Their unique ID should be checked before they are allowed to play in the game.

11.) Results

You have upto 5 days after a match has taken place to enter the result. After this time an admin will enter it for you (if one of the clans has entered it already), or void the match. When a clan enters a result, the other clan must then confirm the result, or amend it if they disagree with it. If they enter something different then it goes back to the first clan to confirm the new result. If neither clan can agree on a score, please contact an admin to arbitrate. Evidence should then be provided (demos/screenshots).

An important note for cup matches is that draws are not allowed. In the event of a draw, a match should go into sudden death, the format of which depends on the type of game being played. In assymetrical (where the two teams are not equal, such as in Counter-Strike) matches, additional rounds are played one-by-one, switching teams after each round, until a team loses. In symmetrical matches it is the next team to win a round or make a capture which is the winner. Sudden death rounds are only necessary when a stopwatch mode is not available. Also, sudden death rounds are only worth 1 round to the winning team, for example if a CS match finishes 12-12 the score would be 13-12 after the sudden death rounds.

12.) Default Wins / Void Matches

Default wins should be given to a clan if an opposing clan fails to follow the rules, fails to turn up or cannot attend the match. If neither clan can attend a match, the match should be voided. In knockout cups, if both clans fail to attend a match, both are eliminated, however one of the two will randomly be chosen to go to the next round. Their would-be next fixture will be defaulted to their opponent however.

13.) Inactivity

If your clan has a break from playing etc. then it can be set to inactive in each ladder of which it is a part. This means your clan cannot schedule matches, nor be challenged, and your clan will be listed as inactive in the ladder (removed from the rankings). You cannot leave a ladder completely. Clans are automatically set to inactive after 50 days.

14.) Server Latency

All servers should be checked before a match takes place by both clans to ensure they are playable. Latency issues are not enough reason to void/default a match.

15.) Inappropriate Decals

Inappropriate decals/sprays are prohibited, especially those which interfere with gameplay through creating mock images of players or game objects.

16.) Server Modifications

Server admin mods such as the Mani Admin Plugin must be running in War Mode or be disabled. Any other modifications are not allowed.

17.) Client Modifications

No modifications such as replacement skins and models are allowed where they give the player an unfair advantage, such as brightly coloured skins. Additionally, no client variables are allowed which also give players an unfair advantage, such as variables which alter the effects of flashbangs or smoke grenades or which alter sounds.

18.) Repeated Challenging

There is no systematic restriction on the number of times a clan can play the same opposing clan in a given time period, however if a clan is repeatedly playing the same clan and it appears to be in order to artificially raise their rating, appropriate action may be taken.
