Counter-Strike

Description
Counter-Strike (commonly abbreviated to CS) is a tactical first-person shooter which began life as a Half-Life modification by Minh "Gooseman" Le and Jess "Cliffe" Cliffe. The game has since expanded into a series and is likely the most successful and popular multiplayer game of its genre. The game focuses on two main scenarios which pits two factions against each other; the Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists. These scenarios are bomb/defusal missions, and hostage rescue missions. There are other game types, but these are the most common and popular. In the former, the Terrorists must succesfully plant and detonate a bomb whilst the Counter-Terrorists must try to prevent them and/or defuse the bomb, and in the latter the Counter-Terrorists must rescue a set of hostages from the Terrorists.

Rules
All general rules apply to CS, below are game specific rules.
1.) Max Rounds: All games are played using mp_maxrounds (9, 12 or 15 only). The match should see both teams playing as T and CT for either 9, 12 or 15 rounds.
2.) Hostages: Purposefully killing the hostages not allowed.
3.) Blocking Passage: The use of in-game objects to block doorways or passages is not allowed.
4.) Deciding Teams: To decide teams, assuming it can't be decided by negotiating, a round of knives will be played. The winning team can then select the side they want to play first.
5.) Minimum Rates: Rates must be set above the following:
• rate 12000
• cl_updaterate 60
• cl_cmdrate 60
6.) Bomb Location: On DE maps it is legal to plant the bomb in locations which require a one man boost, even if it means the opposing team will not be able to defuse. The bomb must, however, be planted in a location where the timer can be heard.
