Purpose of Clanhub

Clanhub was created because of perceived flaws in existing online gaming ladders and leagues. Firstly, it is often very difficult to arrange matches since different clans have different levels and times of availability. Clanhub is intended to make this much less of a problem through features which check and report back the availability of clans.

Secondly, most clan league sites do not integrate clan organisation elements as far as matches go - so clans usually have to organise their teams either through their own websites or by asking all their members whether they are free. Clanhub includes elements found on most clan sites to make a more integrated system.

Firstly, existing sites have become somewhat of a free-for-all and clans of all skill levels can participate. This unfortunately leads to a lot of matches which are severely imbalanced which are rarely enjoyable for either of the clans involved. For this reason, Clanhub aims to create a more balanced community through various statistics and feedback features.

Unique Features of Clanhub

The most unique feature of Clanhub is the system which automatically checks clan availability based on aggregated user provided information. When making challenges, clan leaders will be informed of whether the clan or clans they are challenging have enough players available at the requested time, thus giving an indication as to whether the challenge will be accepted or not. Whilst this is just a guide, and leaders can still choose to challenge despite these warnings, it makes it less of a shot in the dark when deciding who to challenge and when. The availability checking features then extend to users, clans and ladders. A grid shows the times and days when particular users/clans are available; for clan availability it also shows and lists the users available, and for ladder availability it also shows and lists the clans available.

The second unique feature is the personal scheduler. This allows each user to view which matches he/she can sign up for, as well as giving details of each match. This type of thing is usually only found on clan sites.

The above features, combined with much (if not all) of what makes other similar websites successful, intend to make Clanhub a thriving competitive gaming community and a useful tool for clans to use for arranging games. At Clanhub, user feedback is a key consideration, and any suggestions made by members will be seriously considered for implementation if they are judged to have the potential to improve the experience of all members of the site.
